Childhood Education Programs


The School of Education's Childhood Education majors are designed to help students develop knowledge and skills necessary for effective teaching in today's elementary schools.



Four distinct Bachelor of Science degrees are available:

Childhood Education

This prepares you for New York state certification in Childhood Education (grades 1-6).


Requirements-Final2

Childhood & Early Childhood Education

This prepares you for New York state certification in Childhood Education (grades 1-6) with dual certification in Early Childhood Education (birth-grade 2).

Requirements-Final2

Inclusive Childhood Education

This leads to dual New York state certification in Childhood Education (grades 1-6) and students with disabilities (grades 1-6).

Requirements-Final2

Inclusive Childhood & Early Childhood Education

This leads to triple New York state certification in Early Childhood Education (birth to age 2), Childhood Education (grades 1-6) and Students with Disabilities (grades 1-6).

 

Early assurance program

Qualified high school seniors who enroll in an undergraduate teacher-preparation program have a reserved seat in one of our master's degree programs upon completion of their undergraduate studies. Learn more.
